TITO WAGES WAR
AGAINST
ROMAN CATHOLICS
NEW YORK, Thursday.
According to the Paris correspondent
of the "New York
Times," Marshal Tito's Government
in Yugoslavia has embark-
ed on a terroristic anti-Catholic
policy, not only stamping out all
forms of religion but assassinating
priests and nuns.
Observers from Belgrade told the
correspondent that 230 priests had
been assassinated. 198 without trial,
between April, 1944. and May, 1946.
Eleven nuns and 10 seminaries were
also executed. Many others have been
arrested. Religious teachings
schools has been suppressed.
