BOMBING STRAINS ON
GERMAN HOME FRONT
LONDON, Thursday.
The German newspaper, "Voelkis-
cher Beobachter," continues to make
impassioned appeals to those living in
unbombed regions to make room for
refugees from other parts.
The paper added, "the fate of North-
western and Western Germany may be
yours to-morrow. Hence everyone must
be ready to help those who have been
bombed.''
German prisoners, who arrived re-
gently or the Russian front, stated
that riots broke out in the Ruhr when
a large crowd stormed the labour office
at Essen and clashed with the Ges-
tapo. Many arrests were made.
