A WRECK FEARED.
SHIP'S FITTINGS FOUND.
Hobart, September 7.
The Customs officer at King Island reports
rthat on August 25 a door, painted white,
was picked up on the rocks at Currie Har
bour. The size of it was 6ft. by 3ft., with
a porthole in the centre measuring 15in,
across. There were brass hinges and fit
tings and a large brass ring round the port
hole. Since then several pieces of wreck
age have been picked up on the north epd
of the island, all painted white. There were
also a paddle and a lifcbuoy, with the name
"Princess Marie" on both. It would appear
that there has been a wreck somewhere to
the westward.
