CAMP AT CARROLUP.
Katanning, November 2.
The men of No. 3 squadron light horrse
to the numnber of 58 went into camp at
Carrolup on Monday for a week's instruc
tion. Captain Pendelbmry, Chief Instrue
tional Officer of the Light Horse, was in
charge, and with him were Captain Strachan.

Carrolup was selected for the acmp, be
cause it lies midway between Katanning
and Kojonup, and because of its suitabi.
lity for camping purposes.
The greater part of MLonday morning was
devoted to establishing the camp. and the
drill began in the afternoon. The weather
so far has been perfect, and everything has
gone clea~utty. To morrow there will .e
some little telaxation m the nure serious
business of tio camp, and a cricket match
