EAST BROKEN HILL CONSOLS. June 8.—"Block 98,
south engine shaft, 150-ft. level, south (underhand
stone)— Men engaged erecting windlash and putting
in skids for nibble and lacders. Lode shows no
dunce, and galena shows as strong as at lart report.
160-tt. lev?l (tionh etope) has yielded some good iron
stone, carrying iodide and native silver ana galena.
Bulk samples of ore from above workings assay 19 or.
silver and 46 per cent, if ad. Blook 99. catena ehaft—
Drive east driven 11 ft. 6 in.; total, 11 ft. 6 in. Lode
carryinp galena and pyrrhotite, and wa.cr coming
from faoe of drive."

depth S8 ft.; bottom of winze Is in low-grade
sulphides, average assays of whioh gin 16 oz. of silver,
14 per cent, of lead, and 25 per cent, of zinc. Kelly's
abaft, 616 ft- level—Stopes continue to produce kaolin
on of good grade. 415-fL level—Stopes In back of
south arlve prodnclng ovidised ore of good frraae, but
does not extend for any grot length. Boundary
stopes without any change. 815ft.level—Stopea in
biek of main, north drive still Yielding kaolin ore of
good grade. Intermediate level—Drive north bat been
extended 16 ft, making total distance from winze 47
ft.; present faoe snowing lodide of silver freely, and
bulkaawy? give average of 134 oz. per too. 241-ft
level—A winze has been commenced in the bottom of
the main north drive at a point 40 It. distant from the
main crowcut east and is now sunk 10 ft. through
fllioiouskaolin assaying 74 oz. of silver per ton. Stopu
in back of main north drive not looking quite so well
as they have done, and *ame remark will apply to
those on tbe eaut body. Orediapatohediartheweek—

Great Eastern Lode, Jane II.—" Sebastopol shaft
(main shaft) down 90 ft. in good working ground.
Shaft does timbered. Lately pawed through bands
of quartz showing pyrites. Have another 30 ft. to go
baton we expect to be on lode. Mo. 2 shaft—Total
depth, lsl ft. Stu ted oroetcut to test width of lodj;
earns being in 8 ft. Lode composed of aUidous
galena In band's. No. 4 snaft Bank to 95 f L Lode
been lying rather flat, but now taken men vertical
dip. Ore In this (halt considerably unproved and
promises to develop Into solid body of payable ore."
Mockt Bold. June 14.—"Uoucautfe ehafo, 60 ft.
level—Wes: drive driven further 8 ft; lode continues
to look will and is aboot 6 ft. wide. No. 1 tooe~
Splendid black and yellow ore being broken No 2.
etope—Yielding first class yellow on which is 5 ft
wide, while there is quantity of blaok ore on hanging
wall side. Mine improving beyond expectations.

West Acstealun. June B.—" South drive extended
6 ft. only; to'al, 14 ft from crosiout; no change of
particular importance to report, men being HI portion
of time and having so much surfaoe work, such as
cleaning boilers, floes, and otherwise preparing far
crashing, accounts for the email distance driven.
Stone Is also being raised from other parts of the mine
and crashing retained yesterday."

to discontinue sloping from reef above ltO-ft. level,
and clean out north level and try for stone left here
years ago, which was very rich aod is still untouched.
Water 812 ft below surf tea and draining."
ACBTBAL North, June 10.—"Contractors driven
further 9 ft.; total, 154 It. At 150 ft. country changed
