GOLF NOTES.
MERREDIN DEFEAT
BAANDEE.
On Sunday the. Merredin golfer?
journeyed to Baandee and played
the local teams fourball in the.morn- ;
ing and singles during the afternoon.
Although Merredin fielded weak
teams due to a large number of players
participating in the Kellerberrin
Cup they were victorious once more.
Following are the details of the
days play ;—
Gents Foursomes.
Emmet and Macnaughton beat Law
rence and Hunter 7 and 6; Clarkson
and Stehn lost to Martin and H Law-;
rence 1 down; Smalpage and Wilson
squared with Dram and Lewis; Smith
and Blight beat Reddrop and Fisher
and 2.
Gent Single.
Emmet beat Hunter, 6 and 5; Mcnaughton
lost to Fitzpatrick, 2 down;

The Championship Events.
On Sunday next the qualifying
rounds for the Championship will be
held, the first sixteen players to
qualify. In connection with this
event there will be a trophy for the
best nett score over 36 holes in addition
to several others to be decided
upon. Watch the notice boards for
particulars.' Nominations close with
the secretary on Saturday. .
