Blayney Items.
We regret to announce two fatal cases at
Blayney. On Friday, 28th ultimo, a boy
named Leslie Roy Clements, aged 7 years
and 9 months, son of Mr. Isaiah Clements,
a local storekeeper, fell from a tree and a
piece of wood penetrated his hand near the
palm. Tetanus supervened, and the poor
little fellow died the next day. The.funeral
took place on Sunday afternoon at the
Blayney cemetery, and was attended by a
large concourse of people. Thirteen
vehicles followed the horse; also a great
number of persons on horseback and on
foot. The funeral service was conducted
by the Rev. James Adam, M.A.
Another boy named Wm. Alfred Bruce
Wheeler, aged 7 years and 10 months susuccumbed
to an attack of inflammation on
Sunday morning and was buried at the
Blayney cemetery on Monday, the service
being conducted by the Rev W K Howell.
Universal sympathy is felt for the bereaved
parents, who, at the moBt joyous season of
the year have seen their children suddenly
snatched away from them.
