MOTOR CAR ACCIDENT
Patient Shows
Slight Improvement
TREE FALLS DOWN
Mr. Cliff Asprey, clerk at the Rural
Bank, who was injured in a motor
car accident on the Gunning-Yass
Road last Sunday night and who has
since been an inmate at the District
Hospital is reported to-day to have
shown slight improvement during the
week. He is now conscious at times.
The force of the impact between a
new model car being driven by Hen-
ley Davis and a gum tree standing
alongside the road may be gauged
from the fact that the tree fell down
yesterday. It was a vigorous gum 18
inches in diameter and since the ac-
cident a heavy wind had been beat-
ing against it on the opposite side to
that which was struck by the car
head-on. The tree snapped off at the
roots and was seen lying on the
ground yesterday.
