importance that your reports upon blocks .
applied for unaer the Land Act- should be
furnished in all instances with' the utmost
promptitude and dispatch, and I. am directed .
by tbe honorable the Minister; of Mines- 'i!
to request that' you will bear this ' "
iu mind, and that in future- you will,
return your reporta upon all applications not . :
later than a fortnight from tho date of their -
receipt ; and if, from any special cause, a re
port cannot be sonti in: .within/'Jhis period, .
that you will be good enough .to append,
thereto a clear and explioit statement of the-
