Rehearsal By
Olympians
BERLIN, Thursday. — To
morrow night, the Australians
and other Olympic teams will go
to the Reiehsports Ground to re-
hearse the march for the great
parade at the opening of the
Games.
Each athlete will bo carrying the offi
cial booklet containing all directions for
the opening ceremony, a feature of
which will bo a musical accompaniment
consisting exclusively of German songs
and marches
The Australians will march two
abreast, raising their caps as they pass
the Ftihrcr (Hcrr Hitler).
A German standard-bearer accompanies
every team, following a flag-bcarcr who
will be of the same nationality as the
team.
In Australia's cose the flag. bearer will
be "Duncan" Gray Then will come offi
cials and the women of the team.
Australians Impatient
The Australians have completed their
training, and are becoming impatient to
face the starter.
Teams arc now arriving hourly. The
Olympic Village's population is increas
ing by hundreds. Nine teams are due in
the next few hours.
The Premier of New South Wales (Mr
Stevens), his wife, son and daughter, oc-
companicd by Professor Roberts, of the
Sydney University, has visited the Vil
lage.
Premier's Visit
I The Premier was so interested that he
will pay another visit tomorrow at 7.30
a.m., breakfasting with the team.
Sahuny Chapman, who trained boxers
for the Empire Games in London in
1934, hus arrived at tiie Village. He
will be jointly engaged In training the
Australians and New Zcalanders.
(Chapman is the former Sydney box
ing trainer who had Jack Carroll and
other leading professionals.
Activities in the Olympic Village, Ber
lin, will be described In a direct broad- '
cast through 3LO from 11 to 11.30 p.m.
