Mental Patients /
Helried
'THE two hostels for rehablli-
tatlon of mental patients,
"Klnkora," in Hawthorn, and
"Trelowarren" in Armadale,
both run by the Mental Hos-
pltals' Auxilaries of Victoria,
have assisted 140 men and
women on the road to com-
plete recovery in the past
year.
This is stated in the annual
report to be presented at the
14th annual meeting tonight,
when the president of the
Central Council of Auxili-
aries, Mrs M. G. F. Pardy,
will receive guests.
Average stay of patients in
hostels is six weeks, for which
the Government pays. If a
patient needs a, longer re-
habilitation period, the auxil-
iaries pay the balance.
Patients come from mental
hospitals, psychiatric wards in
public hospitals, and clinics.
