SANTEL-THYE WRESTLE
Conference Last Night
Mr J. R. Hrcnnnn, promoter of the
Santol-Limutkln wrestling content at
Wlrtha Olympla tomorrow night,
said today that he had had a confer-
ence wun j cci j/nyc last aignt re
garding a match with Santel, but
nothing definite was arrived at. Thye
said lie would be free in October. ,
"As a guarantee of good faith," he
said, "1 am depositing £2000 today In
tho Bank of New South Wales, and
am prepared to negotiate with Thye
on exactly the same terms he is re
ceiving from Stadiums IAd. Santel's
terms arc no bar to a contest between
the pair,
"I am . glad to see that Thye has
stated he is convinced I urn In earnest
in tho negotiations. In view of this,
there is no reason why the contest
should not take pincc.
"I have almost completed negotia
tions to. hold tho contest whoro 20,000
people will bo aide to see It."
Affidavits In answer to that filed
yesterday by Santel, who claims to be
the light-heavy weight champion of
the world, weru declared today by Mr
R. Lean, rfin nagcr of Stadiums Ltd.;
Mr Frank Brown, Ted Thye, .Sam
Clapham, Michael Yokel, and Walter
Miller.
