LONDON, Monday.
A Vienna official message says that
the Montenegrins continue to lay down
their arms In numerous eases, and
that in the last few days un the north
eastern ALonteneirrin front 1500 Sor-
vbms have surrendered.
Meanwhile the Home "Tribuna" re
ports that fierce fighting for three
(lays has occurred southward of Scu
tari. Prince Mirko, it is said, Is lead
ing tho Montenegrins under tragic
conditions. Jf lie does not succeed in
holding his . position, he will attempt
to escape, to the mountains and con-,
tinuu guerilla warfare, hoping that
the Allies will aid the Montenegrins
'from the sea at last. .
A Vienna message via Zurich states
mat even the withdrawal by King
Nicholas of. Moptcnegro's uncon
ditional surrender cannot change tho
state of affairs, with nine-tenths of
the Montenegrin artillery in the hands
of the Austro-Bulgarians, and tho im
portation of ammunition and food
stuffs made Impossible by the occu
pation of Antivari.
