SIncendiaries at Work.
London, Oct 22.
A' party. of rebels set fire yesterday to
Lord Headley's seat. Aghadoe House,
Killarney.
[A London cable message of October
19 reported:-In applying for his dis
charge to-day, Lord Headley contended
that he was not insolvent. If affairs in
Ireland were in a normal condition his
properties there would be worth about
£20.000. B?efore De Valera's rebellion
.he was offered £15,000 for a portion of
the properties, but the rebellion caused
the intending purchaser to retire. The
British Government promised to obtain
4£2.000 from the. Irish Free State Gov
ernment for the damage done to his pro
perties. The sum of £900 was due for
rent unpaid by order of the rebels.]
