A half-mile rowing race for the ladies'
championship of Tasmania was rowed at
Ulverstone yosterday, the contestants
being Mersey (Miss Goodyer, Stroke! Mrs.
Robinson, 3;' Miss I. Collins, 2; Miss
Nothi-op, bow; K. Waters, cox.; Digney,
conch) and Ulverstone (Miss J. Shelton,
strokoj'Miss K. Parsons, 3; Miss M. An-
derson, 2; Miss Young, bow; G. G.
Wcbsdalo, cox.; R. Dutton coach).
The Ulverstone crew won by half » a
length.'' The result of the tace gives
Ulverstone the representation of Tas-
mania at the intcr-Stato carnival to be
held at Sydney in May.
