PUBLIC SERVICE OF THE TERRITORY OF PAPUA AND
NEW GUINEA.
Department of Agriculture, Stock and Fisheries.
APPLICATIONS are invited from persons desirous of
appointment to the undermentioned vacancy:—
Chief of Fisheries Division.—£l,346-£],436 per annum
(actual), including Territorial Allowance (married appointee
£25 per annum additional). Income Tax Assessment Act of
the Commonwealth of Australia not applicable anv income
derived by resident of Territory from sources within Territory.
Qualifications.—University degree in Science or Applied
Science in related subjects desirable. Sound technical and
practical training preferablv with particular knowledge native
fisheries tropical areas. Administrative and organizing ability
essential.
Duties.—Advise Administration on policy; organize and
establish Fisheries Division covering sea and inland fisheries
particularly in relation to native peoples, supervision native
training, introduction and distribution new methods and gear,
preservation and handling of fish, organize marketing, collec
tion of statistics and scientific data.
Location.—Any part Papua and New Guinea.
Leave.—Three months after twenty-one months' service in
the Territory.

of Territories, Canberra, by 31st October, 1951.
