Progress Association
Formed At Upper
Beaconsfield
CHAIRED by Cr. C. A. Harris
a very well attended public meet
ing, held at Beaconsfield Upper,
on Thursday, June 25th, unani-
jnouiSly passed a resolution that a
Progress Association be formed.
The following executive officers
were elected: President, Mr. J.
Royal; vice-presidents, Mr. K.
Gibbs and Mr. E. Higgs; commit
tee, Mrs. Fairless, Messrs. W.
Knapton, T. B. Kilvington, W.
•Noblet, C. C. Harris, J. Guilfoyle
(with power to add); secretary
and treasurer, Mr. C. Murtagh;
auditors, Mr. C. Wright and Miss
Irene Noblet. The annual sub
scription was fixed at 2/6. A
general meeting will be held every
two months, on the third Wed
nesdays. The first meeting will
be on Wednesday, July 15th.
LAST FRIDAY night the usual
Square Dance was 'held and was
a bright little .dance. Another
will be held this Friday.
ON FRIDAY, August 14th. there 1
will be a Fancy Dress Hill-billy
Ball in the Assembly Hall. It
will be all square dancing.
