BROWNFIELD-FROST
A VERY CHARMING WEDDING was
celebrated in the Bunvood Church of Eng
land. on Saturday, August 8th, at 4.30 p.m.,
when Mr. William Brownfield, only son of
Mr. and Mrs. Sam Brownfield, of Heather
ton, was married to Miss Elsie Frost,
daughter of the late Mr. Frost, and Mrs.
Frost, of Bunvood. The bride’s sisters
had the church beautiful.y decorated for
the occasion. ■
The bride, who was given awav by her
eldest brother, looked very attractive in
her lovely gown of white lace, over white
satin. Shell pink tulle formed a soft
foundation for her long, embroidered veil,
and a fragrant white bouquet was carried.
Miss Frost (Bunvood) and Miss Moore
(Clayton) nieces of the bride, attended her
as. bridesmaids, becomingly gowned in
blue, with short blue veils to match. They
darned red bouquets, to match the l’ed
flowers worn in their hair. The little
trainbearers were the Misses Heather and
Dorothy Frost, nieces of the bride. They
resembled little fairies in their sweet little
pink frocks, worn with matching silk
flowers in their hair."
Mr. Roy Frost was best man and Mr,
William Frost groomsman—both brothers
of the bride.
The bride received six lucky horseshoes
as symbols of good luck.
The wedding breakfast and reception were
held in the church hall, where a most en
jo.yable. evening was spent. The bride’s
mother wore a becoming coat and frock of
wine, with hat to match, and black shoes.
The bridegroom’s mother wore a charm
ing blue frock with matching hat and shoes,
and an oyster grey c'ooat. The pretty 2-
tier cake was made by Mrs. Frost, sister
in-law of the bride. During the evening
Miss Marjorie Lendon, the bridegroom’s
niece, recited “The Fairy Book” delight
fully.
The bride’s smart going away frock was
made by the bridegroom’s mother.
Many valuable presents and cheques
were received by the young couple who are
making their home at Bunvood.
