OBITUARY.
Jenkins.—The funeral of the late Mr
Edward Jenkins took place On Monday
from the residence of his sister, Mrs E.
Oliver. 101 Burnbank street. Mr Jen-
kins, who was 53 years of age, was a
native of Ballarat, and lived his life
here. His geniality won him many
friends, as evinced by the large num-
ber who attended the funeral to the
Old Cemetery. The large number of
floral tributes added testimony to the
expressions of genuine regret at his
demise. Captain W. S. Anderson, of
the Salvation Army, conducted impres
sive services at the house and grave
side. The coffin-bearers were four
nephews of the deceased, viz., D Oli-
ver, T. Oliver, W. Henderson, and A.
Callaway. The pall-bearers, and other
representatives were:- Messrs r. Wil-
son, J. Hewit, T. Beaumont, D. J.
Hawkins, Dave Stout, A. Farrow, T.
Gunn, S. Dablie, H. Lingham, W. Nan-
kervis, F. Stewart, E. Taafe, M.
Taafe, R. Doncaster, J. W. Glover, R.
J. Wilson, Geo. Rayworth, S. W. Wil-
son, M Robinson, H. Stout, R. Walsh,
W. Henderson Jun., P. Gilhooley, S.
Pearce -J. Frank, R. Henderson. Geo.
Powell, and F. Woodward. The fune-
ral arrangements were in the hands of
Messrs. F. W. Barnes and Son.
