Presentation Of
Trophies At
Croquet Wind-up
THE OFFICIAL WIND-UP to what
has been a most successful and
enjoyable season took place on the
Bandenong Croquet lawns on Wednes-
day, June 25. The day was cold, but
fine, and after competitive games had
been indulged in, afternoon tea was
partaken of.
Before presenting the trophies, Mrs
He.mbry thanked all members for their
united .efforts, in making the season
such a success ; and congratulated
those members 'who had been so suc
cessful: in Open .tournaments conduct
ed by other clubs, as well as those
who came out on top in the club
tournaments. The winners of the
various trophies were
Masters Clip—l Mrs Williams
Taylor. ;Cup—-Mrs Rout
Pianta 'Cup— Mrs Jarvis
Doubles—l Mesdames Wilson and
Tharle. .
- Jarvis Trophy—'Mrs H. Shepley.
'Competitive games played during
the afternoon were won by the fol
lowing: Clock, Mrs Rout; Zig Zag, Mrs
Brim'blecomb; Golf croquet, Mes
dames Williams and Jarvis.
After the presentations, Mesdames
Jarvis and. Kingsbury moved a hearty
vote of thanks to the president and
officials, and complimented them on
their'conduct of the club throughout
the year.
During the three .months’ recess
members will hold card afternoons for
patriotic purposes, the first in the
Bowlers’ pavilion on July 3ilst, when
all will be welcome..
