SERVICETON v. WOLSELEY
Wolseley were without L. Perry,
C. Merritt and W. Jarrett, and werej
no match for the faster Serviceton
side, although the latter overdid the
short passing. Their handball is
splendid, but too much short passing
tends to break down at the vital
moment. R. Wallis put on first point,
to which Wolseley replied with their
only point, and score, for the term.
No goals were scored by either side,
two further points coming to Serviceton.
Scores: Serviceton 0-3,
Wolseley 0-1.
Ken Jolly to L. Wallis, who played
grandly, saw first goal go up, to
which Wolseley replied
with
the
same score by Max Durbidge.
Ken
Jolly was well in the play, and two
points came to Serviceton, Ken then
booting a goal off the ground. Geoff
and Ian McFarlane
played to
Ian
Merrett for a sixer, and following a
single L.
Wallis
got
the
possible.
