LONDON", August 10.
It has been decided by the Supreme
Council that the time has not arrived to
mediate between the Turks . and the
Greeks.. The Allies, have declared their
neutrality, and emphasise that the bellige
rents must not receive arm's, men, or
credits, from them.
Mr."' Lloyd .George said the conditions had
changed, • snce' the Sevres" Treaty had
been torn up by the Turks. It was ob
vious that the Greeks ivere entitled to
aasnme that the treaty had. ceased to
exist. He thought M. Briand's dictum,
that the victors should get the benefit of
the doubtful point applied to the present
lituation.
