A Little Ship.
Over the deep grey ooean dashing,
And through the waters gaily splash
ing,
Sails a little ship,
She rides the waves like a cookie
shell,
Sinking and rising on the oaean's swell.
Over the ooean with sails set true,
And through tbe waters dark and
bine
Sails that little ship;
She looks like a swan on the ooean'a
wide,
She's daring and bold whatever betid.
Under fair Bkies she sails with ease,
Sporting herself with every breeae,
That quaint little ship;
S iling to where tho spioes flow,
The land of the orange and flamingo.
To those fair isles she sails In peaoe,
As queen of tbe seas to gather
increase,
Sails that little ship;
She gives her wealth from ber bended
seore,
She gives, but takes from the islands
more.
Over the ooean of our lines,
Undor darkoned or sun- lit skies,
Sails our little ship;
To that Port of distant rest,
Where mariners all are eafe blest,
