BARRIER ACCIDENTS.
Broken Hill, December 13.
An ambulance was called out to accidents
at mines along the line of lode on five-oc
casions last niglit. The first mishap oc
curred at the British mine, where H. -Na
il iff, a miner, was injured about the head
through some timber falling on him. He
was removed to tfie hospital. At the
South mine 1). Pratt had his shoulder dis
located through a fall of ground, and was
taken to the hospital. At the North mine
D. Kildcft sustained injuries to the foot
through a stone falling on it. E. Lyons
had a leg broken, and was severely cut
by a fall of stone in a stone at the South!
mine. At the Junction North A. Abe
motch was injured by being crushed be
tween trucks at the 1.034 ft. level. He
was taken to the hospital.
