THE LOST NYORA
MARINE BOARD ENQUIRY.
LIGHTHOUSE MEN PRAISED
The Marine Board met on Monday
morning for the purpose of enquiring into
the loss of the steam tug Nyora, near
Cape Jaffa, on Monday, July 9.
The Finding.
The Board found that the loss of the
steam tug Nyora was caused by the severe
gale, which arose on July 9. Every care
had been taken by Captain McBain and
his crew, and no blame was attachable to
anyone. The Board wished to make spe-
cial reference to the brave conduct of
Messrs. Jamieson and Clark, of the Cape
Jaffa lighthouse, in effecting the rescue of
Captain McBain and Seaman Lansley.
