FATALITY AT WOOL BAY.
Mr. Wm. Hemworth Abbott, of near
Wool Bay, was killed while reaping for
his father-in-law (Mr. W. Thompson).
The fatality caused much grief in the
Edithburgh district. There was appa-
rently a sudden defect in the machine
which Mr. Abbott attempted to remedy.
While he was doing so the horses evi-
denly started and threw him in the path
of the machine, which passed over him.
Mr. Abbott was married and had three
children. Three of his brothers have been
killed at the front.
