SOCIAL NOTES.
A pleasant gathering in' the form of a sur
prise party took place at Mr J. Kennedy’s resi
dence on Wednesday evening to wish Mr J.
Kennedy, junr., who is leaving for Coolgardie,
bon voyage. An enjoyable evening was spent
by those present in dancing, &c., and the party
broke up an early hour next morning.
