MANAGEMENT OF AUSTRALIAN ELEVENS
DISCUSSION BY THE NEW SOUTH
WALES ASSOCIATION.
The question as to when the next Aus
tralian. eleven, shall leave for England
and under whose auspices the tour will be
undertaken, which has been much dis-
cussed in Sydney cricket circles lately,
was brought before the New South Wales
Cricket Association at the monthly meet
ing on Tuesday.
It will be remembered that some weeks
ago Mr F. A. Iredale raised the point as
to whether the M.C.C. should be allowed
to control the visits of Australian cricket
era to England in the future, ais it had in
hc J past., and expressed, the opinion that
the New South Wales Association might
fittingly undertake the management of the
next team.
In pursuance of notice given on that oc
casion, Mr Iredale moved on Tuesday—
■'That Ithe association take initiatory
steps to send home the next Australian
eleven.”
Objection was taken to the other states
being ignored, and Mr Iredale explained
that he had no objection to the other
states coming in. It was eventually re
solved—
That when the time arrives, this asso
ciation invites the Victorian and South
Australian Cricket Associations to co
operate in taking the initiatory steps to
send home the next Australian eleven un
der Itheir auspices, and to take the neces
sary steps incidental thereto.
