YM.C.A. MUSICAL SOCIETY.
The annual meeting of the Y.M.O. A. Musi
cal Society was held at the rooms, Gawler
place, on TueBday evening. Mr. T. J. Jssaop
presided over a good attendance, and.thanked
the members of the society for their assistance
and sympathy in the past year, and solicited a
continuance of the same in the future ThB
hon. sec. (Mr. E. L. S. Tuck) presented
the annual report of the committee. The re
port was of a congratulatory character,
special reference being made to the efforts
of the hon. conductor (Mr. T. J. Jes6op)
and the other pfficers. The election of officers
for the ensuing year resulted as follows:—
Hon. conductor, Mr. T. J. Jessop; hon. secre
tary, Mr. Ernest L. S. Tuck; assistant secre
tary, Mr. A. V. Mitton ; librarian, Mr. W. E.
Chambers 5 committee, Messrs. J. A. Brodie,
A. Gamble, J. Walsh, and J. Cohoun. Rom
berg's "Lay of the Bell" and "Evangeline"
(Gabriel) are now being rehearsed by the society
:for production at the next concert.
