CHRISTIAN ENDEAVOR.
A special business meeting of the South
Australian Christian Endeavor Union wa3
held at Flinders-street Baptist lecture
hall on Thursday, when a large num
ber of delegates were present. The
Rev. R. M. Hunter (president) took the
chair, and explained the character of the meet
ing. Rev. S. Mead apologised for absence,
and expressed his approval of Mr. Hone's
motion.
Mr. N. J. Hone (vice-president West
Torrens Distriot Union) placed before the
meeting his notice of motion and explained
the provisions of the new constitution. After
various objections had been disposed of by the
chairman's ruling the following resolutions
were carried:—
1. That following convenient boundaries O.E S.
shall be encouraged to unite into distriot unions.
2. That the district unions and 0. E.S. shall be
federated into a oentral or colonial union, to be called
tbeS.A.O.E. Union.
3. That a constitution be framed and adopted upon
this basis, or such .modification thereof as may be
deemed desirable
_ After a full discussion an amended constitu
tion was adopted, to come into force' on
July 1.
