Big Fire at Pola.
ROME, May 22.
A squadron of Italian aeroplanes bombed
the Austrian ansenal of PoTa. and caused a
great fire, which burned for two days. A
number of important buildings were destroyed.
The Italian official report states:—We repulsed
violent raids at- -the Cavento Pass
and Pluberga Bridge, and in the Giumelia
Valley. We heavily drove back attacks on
Mounts Dds^oalto and Zagqa, and also local
attacks in the Pasina. Valley and the
Asiago Plateau in the Carnia. Repeated
Austrian attempts ,east of Gorizia failed to
drive TJS out of a iiill south of Grazigna.
Our airship bombed the irear lines of the
enemy at Vogrisca.
