FEW SOUTH WALES PARLIAMENT.

Sydney, November 14. ■
In the Assembly to-day the Minister of
justice moved, and the motion was
adopted, that the House-go Into com
mittee to-morrow to consider the ex
pediency of bridging in a Payment of Mem
bers Bill. The Election of Trustees and
Treasurers of Hospitals Bill was read a
first time. Under a motion of adjourn
ment Mr. Levien raised a long de
bate regarding what he called Judge
Docker's insulting mode of proce
dure when on the bench. Mr. Levien
stated that Judge Docker had during
the hearing of a case in which he (Mr.
Levien) was engaged abused and libelled
him. Several members spoke very
strongly regarding Judge Docker's remarks
and treatment of those with whom he had
to deal in his judicial capacity. Finally
the matter was allowed to drop. The
House then went on to the further con
sideration of the financial statement, the
discussion on which was adjourned when
the House rose at 12.15
