BALLARAT IMPERIAL FOOTBALL CLUB.
The annual meeting of the Ballarat Imperial
Football Club was held on Tuesday, at Chin
ner[?]'s Devon and Cornwall hotel. Mr J. M.
M'Keuzie was elected to the chair, and about
6(J members were present. The secretary read
the annual report as follows:—“It is with great
pleasure I read this, your annual report. You
have every reason to feel proud of your last
season’s doiogs. Your club played 16 matches,
winning 13, losing two, aod one drawn, a
performance which speaks for itself. This
performance was not equalled in Ballarat
last season. Therefore your club has every
right to claim the premiership of this district,
haviug won more matches, kicked more goals,
and lost loss matches, and had fewer gods
kickod against them than any other club in the
district. Your committee held during the sea
son 16 meetings, with the following attendance:
G. M'Kenzie, 16; G. Williams, 16; C. Green
halgh, 13; J. Burns, 12; J. Young, 11; J.
M‘Donald, 10; R. Young, 5; and your secretary,
16. The club during the season took several
junior players into their ranks, and they have
proved a credit to the clubs they came from as
well as to the club they have joined. The
members of tbo club must be complimented
on their gentlemanly behaviour during tho
season, both in and out of Ballarat; also, on
the absence of rough play and accidents, which
generally go together. Financially, the club
stands well, having a credit balance of £lB.
The following officers were elected for the en
suing season:—Patron, Colonel W. C. Smith;
president, J. M. M'Kenzie; vice-presidents,
R. Cbinnery, W. Poach, Captain Hennab, G.
Williams; captain, W. Robertson; vice-captain,
G. M'Kenzie; committee, Jas. M'Donald, Jas.
Young, A. Dawson, J. M'Kenzie, J. Burns. It
was moved that the club join the association.
It was carried that the secretary attend meet
ing of secretaries at Young and Jackson’s, Mel
bourne. It was moved that a second twenty be
formed, and that Mr J. Cunningham, jun., be
secrotary. A vote of thanks closed the meeting.
