MILITARY NEWS.
Parades for next week are Thursday, 8
p.m., Orderly Room; dress, drill order.
Saturday, 3 p.m., Orderly Room. Those
who have not completed their musketry
Course ito parade at the rifle-range. drees,
drill order, with helmets.
The Battalion Gymnastic Class will meet
for practice next Tuesday, at 8 p-m.
Private H. Parkin-son, A Company, has
been transferred to the reserve.
One man in A Company has been fined
2s 6d for being absent without leave daring
the month of January.
Three men from A Company, four from
B Company, three from C Company, and
three from D Company have been discharg
ed for 'being unable to attend .some having
left the d-iscrict, and others completed the'r
engagements.
Five members have been discharged from
-the reserve,
'The Battalion Rifle Club match was com
menced yesterday, and; will be continued
to-day. Conditions are, 500,and 700 yards,
one sigh ter a-t each range, not- to count,
and seven shots ; hmit GO.
Several military insurance policies re
quire renewing b-fore camp, and all mem
bers going to camp should insure against
accident. For 3s 6d, in the event of .an
accident' occurring during any ordinary
halrf-day '-or ! nigh* drill or Easter encamp
ment. inoludinjr journey -to and from the
