Engineer’s Report.—This stated inter alia —
The new flumes on the water race have been
completed, and are very satisfactory. The
dams at Chepstowe and Stockyard Hill have
been cleaned out. and are ready for tho recep
tion of fresh water. With respect to Captain
Bridges’ application for permission ro erect
three wire-netted gates on roads in Yangerah
will, the two noith and south roads are not
likely to bo required for traffic. There can
be no objection to gates being put on them.
The oth-r road is known a3 Stewart’s lane,
and is fenced on both sides, and a Bhort portion
of it has been made, still there is very little
traffic on it. The road between M'Laughlin’s
and Phillips’, in Haddon, has been partly
made, but part of the 30 chains that are not
made is rather bad for h-avy traffic in the
winter, being a little sidelong and rutted. —
Beceived.
Tho north Tiding members reported that at
s meeting of the members of the north riding
committee, held on 2nd in-t., it was resolved
—That the water he laid on to J. Preston’s
