OPERATIVE BAKERS' SOCIETY.
The fortnightly meeting was hold on Satur
day night; the president (Mr C. O’Dwyer) was
in the chair. In the Eight Hours Day pro
cession the model oven, which has been quire
a novelty, will be replaced by a banner. A
bakers’ race will be included in the Eight
Hours programme, and the race committee
anticipa'o a lively finish. The Co-opera'ive
Distribution Company intend working strictly
in harmony with soci-ty rules. Messrs Miller
and Cos., millers, of Armstrong street, have
kindly placed their lorry and horses at the dis
posal of the society, for Eight Hours Day.
