CANBERRA, Thursday. —
The Senate and the- House

month — the Senate until
June 15 and the House of
Representatives till June 2.
The- House of Representa
tives finished up about four
p.m., although rumors circul
ated Jast night that an all-
night sitting was planned Tor
to-night.
After the House had passed
through all stages the Bill to
Reconstitute the Department
of Supply and Development,
the debate on the second read
ing of the Superannuation BUI
was resumed.
The bill was passed through
all remaining stages without
amendment.
The Transferred Officers'
Allowance Bill and the Acous
tics Laboratories Bill, which
was introduced in the Senate,
were also passed without
amendment, and after Mr.
Dedman had readNa statement
on building trade trainees, the
House adjourned until 3 p.m.
on June 2.
Before the Senate adjourned
at 10.24 p.m., the Minister for
Health and Social Services
(Senator McKenna) wound up
the debate on the second read
ing of the two bills providing
for a bigger Parliament and
proportional representation at
Senate elections.
Both bills were taken Into
committee, and passed through
all remaining . stages without
amendment. ' . i
