Persia Rejects
Russian Claims
LONDON, Feb. 5 (AA.P.).
The Premier of Persia (Ibra
him Maklmi), replying to the
Soviet Note on the United
States military mission, an
nounced that all objections in
the Soviet Note were without
foundation.
Persia was buying arms
from the United States- he
said, because they were
cheaper than Russian. The
engaging of a few United
States .officers for the army
and gendarmerie was not
against the terms of the 1921
treaty with Russia.
The Note Insisted that the
functions of the United States
military mission in Persia
were purely advisory.
