TERRIBLE DEATH
OF PRISONERS
Too Weak to Walk
LONDON, April 9 (A.A.P.).
The partly clad bodies of 31
men lying - huddled where they
had been killed by S.S. guards
because they were too 111 to be
moved, 'have been discovered In a

a village about ten miles south of
Gotha.
Correspondents . with the Ame
rican . Third Army said:— "Their
only crime was they were toe
weak to march' deeper Into Ger
many with other slaves."
Fifty more bodies were found
in a - nearby shed. The whole
naked heap had been sprinkled
with quicklime.
The camp had held 2000 Rus
sians, Czechs, Poles, French, Ger
man Jews .and political pri
soners.
