BOMB HERO'S TRIAL
LONDON, May 20 (A.A.P.)
Captain Robert Davies, of the Royal
Engineers, who removed a bomb from
St. Paul's Cathedral in London and
was awarded the George Cross in
to be not guilty of stealing a wrist
watch and 15/; not guilty of looting,
and not guilty of improperly obtain
ing £194.
Davies pleaded guiltv to a further
13 charges of giving cheques without
ensuring that, he had sufficient funds
to meet them. The court's findings
on the outstanding charges are being
promulgated;
