Many Injuries at Carlton
The hard-fought game at Carlton produced u
big crop of injuries. R. McLean (Carlton) col
lapsed after the game, but recovered. J. Hale
(Carlton), slight concussion and bruised shoulder,
was replaced by Savage. J. Park (Carlton),
bruised his thigh. T. Roulent (North Melbourne),
concussion in last quarter, was taken home by
car. W. Carter (North Melbourne), torn tendons
of hands: L. Davies (North Melbourne), rieked
ankle, was replaced by Jones in third quarter;
D. O'Brien (North Melbourne); torn ligaments
in leg.
Scott (Richmond) was treated for a lacerated
leg alter the game, and Titus (Richmond) for a
cut chin. Several other players were treated for
minor injuries received in the gruelling lest
Biittsworth (Essendon), Injured leg.
L. Ryan (Footscray). concussion and Injured
ankles, collapsed after the match, and was taken
Mohr (St. Kllda) wrenched his knee during the
third quarter; he had It bandaged and played
on, but had to retire halfway through the last
quarter, when he was replaced by Crannage.
Whitfield (South Melbourne), back injury, re
placed by Matthews.
