A.B.C. Social Club Dance.
The Australian Broadcasting Commis
sion staff social club licit! a mast enjoy
able dance at the Ormond Hall last
night, when 380 guests were present.
During the evening a presentation was
made to Mr. J. O'Connor, who is being
transferred to the commission's offices
in Perth.
An amusing boys' bnllct was u special
feature of the entertainment, and the
boys, Messrs. B. Bromley, C. Clarke, G.
Nloholls and G. Valentine, danced nnd
sang, clad in burlesque ballet costumes.
They were trained by MLss Aloira Ilil-
ford. Mr. Herbert Brown also rendered
some vocal numbers.
The ticket secretaries were Miss W.
Armstrong, who wore a graceful gown
of white cloquc. with gardenias nt the
corsage; Miss J. Blsset, who wore a
matching coatee with licr powder-blue
taffeta frock, and Mr. J. Brady.
Members of tho committee assisting
were Misses E. Woodman, S. Roekman,
Bonnie -McCnlluiii, Messrs. Reed, Dun
can and Spuvon.
