Bridge at Caulfield.
The Caulfield town hall made an at
tractive setting for the happily arranged
bridge party held last night by the Caul-
' field auxiliary of the Children's Hospi-
tal. This was the auxiliary's annual ap
peal effort, and some 250 members and
friends wero present, while guests of
honor wero tho mayor and mayoress,
Cr. ancl Mrs. McRao Stowart; and Mrs.

tal board of management. Bowls of
vivid golden and orange popples made a
gay decoration for tho hall, while flowera
and foliage were banked in front of the
stage.
Arrangements for the evening were in
the hands of an enthusiastic commit
tee, headed by Mrs, L Sandow, presi
dent; Mesdames F. Cuddy and M. Wood,
vice-presidents; Mrs. E. O. Oakley, hon.
secretary, and Mrs. J. Robson, hon.
treasurer.
