Government Triumph
In Pole Referendum
T ONDON.—Polish referendum resuits
are a triumph for the
Polish Government of National
Unity, reports the Daily Worker.
The progressive democratic parties'
proposal for a one-house Parliament
was carried by a majority
of nearly three to one over M.

for two houses.
Early returns showed Warsaw
supporting the nationalisation of
big industries and land distribution
to peasants by 60,000 to 5,000
and Lodz by 41,000 to 6,000.
On the third referendum question,
dealing with the new frontiers
on the Oder and Neisse Rivers,
Warsaw agreed to them by 33,000
to 2,000 and Lodz by- 45,000 to
2,000, according to early returns.
