INCENTIVE
PAYMENTS
Employers' Move
Employers throughout Australia
'.will be asked to adopt a system of
/incentive payments to employes.
A recommendation to this effect
was passed by the Australian
Council of Employers' Federa
tions in Melbourne yesterday.
The Federal secretary (Mr. F. R.
Wilkins) said the Federation had
agreed to the adoption of incen
tive payments as a means of in
creasing production and promot
ing improved industrial relation
ships. The payments, however,
could be made only by employers
operating under suitable condi-
tions.
The council appointed Mr. E.
F. Harrison to represent the em
ployers of South Africa, New
Zealand and Australia at the
meeting of the. governing body of
the International Labor Organi
sation" at Geneva on. December
8. '
