ART EXHIBITION
Mr. W. Hone, whose exhibition
is now open at the .Seddon Gal
lery, is a pupil of the late W.
B. Mclnnes, and this fact is
up|jurem in nis worx. utner in
fluences are' also perceptible, but,
in- spite of them, Mr. Hone's
work has a character of its own.
His color Is full and sensitive,
nnd he has a strange but attrac
tive strain of fantasy In his make
up which overrides the derived
influences in his work. He Is
not yet himself, due largely to
war occupation, but should he
develop on the non-material side
his future will be worth watch-
i ing'. We are altogether- too- short
of the -stuff that dreams are made
