More Trouble
for Dutch
in Indonesia
BATAVIA, Sept. 14 (AAJP.).
"Our strategy is to kill as
many . Dutch as possible and
take away their weapons."
The Indonesian Communist
leader, Muso, told this to a
mass rally at Madlun, in Re
publican East: Java, last week.
Details of the speech were
obtained in Batavia to-day.
Muso, who recently returned
from Moscow, denounced the
Linggadjatl and Renville
agreements and the truce on
status quo lines between the
Dutch and Republicans.
Muso called the recent Aus
tralian, and American compro
mise proposals to settle the In
donesian political dispute as
"another form of. colonial
ism."
Muso claimed Russia was
the- only Power recognised as
the Republic's sovereign au
thority, and said the Repub
lic's three years' "ball carry
ing". with the United States of
America had resulted only In
Americans aiding the Dutch.
Fighting has flared up in
Surkarta, second biggest Re
publican city in Central Java,
Antara News Agency reported
to-day.
It is believed in Batavia that
the fighting Involves the
Armed Youth movement Pe-
slndo, which, last week joined >
the Indonesian . Communist
party, and unspecified political
oppohents.
The Antara message said
train communications, with the
Republican capital, Jogjakarta,
40 miles west; is temporarily
suspended.
