Portsmouth, rank outsiders at the begin
ning of the Cup competition, and considered
lo bo without & chance; In the final of the
English F.A. Cup nt Wembley, outplayed Wol
verhampton Wanderers, the hottest favorites

Mcdlc&l experts investigated the gland ex
tracts administered to players, and diagnosed
the teams as normal, but strangely without
fatigue.
Barlow, transferred to Portsmouth from Wol
verhampton, scored first, then Anderson within
a few. second. After half-time Barlow and
Parker took nart in a movement which beat
the backs. . Barlow shot and the goalkeeper
half gathered In the ball, but it slipped out of
his, hands and trickled to the goal mouth,
and Parker scored.
A counter attack brightened things for Wol
verhampton, but Parker and Worrall scored
again for Portsmouth.
The success of Portsmouth was attributed
to the steadiness and experience of the older
players. Worrall, the only pre-Cup finalist,
was a tower of strength.
The King met players and officials, and pre.
sented the Cup, while the Queen handed out
the medals.
