ARARAT TURF CLUB ANNUAL
MEETING.
At the annuo) meeting of the Ararat
Turf Club, presided over by Jlr. W. Deans
(president), the nnnual report showed
that two meetings had been held during
tho year, nnd had .been most suct-cesful.
Reference was made to the generosity of
Mr. Marsh in uddine a SO-guinca gold
cup to tho principal event at the last
Christmas meeting. Thn fubucnptions
for the year showed an increase of £40.
the stakes; disbursed, £344, nnd £105 had
boon received for tjie lease of the course.
The framing of n programme for the
Christinas meeting to he held on 'J'.Uh De
cember, was left to the committee, who
will meet at tin early date. Mr. D.
Deans was re-elected president, .Messrs,

salary of £2.1. with bonus. It was
stated that £.10 hud been expended in
improvements al the course during I he
