VICTORIAN JUNIORS.
INQUIRY INTO CLAYTON MELHE.
At its meeting on Wednesday night the V.J.F.A.
noting on ' the report of the field umpire in
the Port Melbouvne-Prahran match last' Satur
duy, decided that a special inquiry be conduc
ted by the investigation committee. The in
quiry will be heard next Thursday evening ot
uic rooms oi me v.r.A., aqu the umpires offi
ciating at the game, the secretaries and cap
tains of both clubs have been summoned to at
tend. The hon. secretary (Mr. W. Fixwcett)
stated yesterday that this action is being taken
in - order that the -full facts ma be brought
to light, and that the V.J.F.A. is determined
to - keep its football clean, and that 'any player
or club, found guilty of Anything detrimental
to the -interest of the Y.J.F.A. would be severely
dealt with. He also staled that the policeman
who was injured was playing with the . Prah
ran 'dub, and not on duly at the ground. As
a matter of fact, there was no policeman pre
sent at the game on duty.
